Spring Vaccinations

At last, spring is here. To be sure now is the time to be thinking about spring vaccinations. Moreover, the goal of vaccinating the herd is to protect the cows against reproductive diseases prior to the breeding season. Also to provide protection to the spring-born calves against potential diseases.

Vaccination Program

Obviously, no vaccination program is 100% effective. Still, the objective is to maintain a high level of herd immunity, to minimize disease outbreak, and to improve profitability for the operation. Furthermore, there are a number of different vaccines available for cattle.

Hillandale Quality Feeds carries a number of Vaccines and the supplies you need to administer them. We have most vaccines available in single, 5,10, or 50 doses. As always we recommend discussing your Spring Vaccinations plan with your herd veterinarian.
